Pre-Kindergarten Lead

Hello my name is Ms. Kim! I am having a blast working with the Pre-K classroom! I started working in education back in 2016. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2018 with a Bachelor's in Child and Family Development. I previously moved to the east side of Michigan about 3 months ago, before the move I lived on the west side of Michigan.  Preschool age is amazing to work with because of the "light bulb" moments. You get to watch them discover new things and ideas. I cannot wait to see what ideas these kiddos come up with!

Tireless Toddlers Co-Lead

I am Jazmin, I have been here at ISW for 2 years, and spent time in all of the classrooms but my main room was Preschool!  I am excited to start as the Co-Lead in the toddler room!  I love working with the kids they bring joy to my day!  As for my personal life, I am the oldest of five and am from a tiny town in Michigan.  I love to read and I love to stay in and watch every kind of genre with my family!  I'm very much looking forward to working at ISW and working and interacting with all of you.

Hello, my name is Miriam and I am a Honduran-born art teacher and child-care provider.  Over the years I have worked professionally with kids from all ages, from newborns all the way to 12th grad.  I have earned my Child Care Professional Associate in Applied Science at Washtenaw Community College.  I have over 12 years of professional childcare experince prior to joining the team here at ISW.

I am fluent in English and Spanish but I believe kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.  My husband and I have been married for over 30 years.  We have two children who are engineers and musicians.

Small Wonders Lead

Hello! My name is Barbara! I started at ISW in 2020 as an assistant teach here in the infant room, and I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to move up to being the lead teacher! I have loved working with infants and toddlers since I was a teen, and now I am in school working towards a degree in Early Childhood Development. In my free time, I’m a huge trivia buff and I love playing board games whenever I get the chance.
