I earned my Bachelor's degree from Adrian College where I focused on Education (Early Childhood and Elementary) as well as Language Arts. I became a Teacher to provide a safe place for Scholars to learn and grow without judgement. In my free time-I enjoy hanging out with my family (I am always learning from my teenage son), anything literacy related, thrifting, and makeup!

Hello, my name is Nathan. I am currently the Co-lead teacher in the LA room. I have been with ISW since 2019 when I started in the Pre-K classroom. Then in 2021 I started working LA class! I am currently attending Washtenaw Community College with the goal of obtaining a degree in early childhood education. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as relaxing at home or, if the weather is nice outside. I also enjoy most types of card and board games as well as reading books.

Hello! My name is Ms. Jenn and I am the Co-Lead Preschool Teacher.

My name is Ms. Amanda, I am a mom of six. I started at ISW in 2016 in the infant classroom.  I moved into the Preschool classroom in 2019 and then when ISW opened the Happy Hopper classroom I knew it was for me!  I love helping children with potty training and encouraging them to become independent.  I am a huge Tigers fan, I go to as many games as I can! I am a very color person with over 70 tattoos! :) A good time for me would be road tripping, reading, geocaching, bowling, going to concerts, or the beach.

Hello, my name is Miriam and I am a Honduran-born art teacher and child-care provider.  Over the years I have worked professionally with kids from all ages, from newborns all the way to 12th grad.  I have earned my Child Care Professional Associate in Applied Science at Washtenaw Community College.  I have over 12 years of professional childcare experience prior to joining the team here at ISW in 2021.

I am fluent in English and Spanish but I believe kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.  My husband and I have been married for over 30 years.  We have two children who are engineers and musicians.

Hello! My name is Barbara! I started at ISW in 2020 as an assistant teach here in the infant room, and I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to move up to being the lead teacher! I have loved working with infants and toddlers since I was a teen, and now I am in school working towards a degree in Early Childhood Development. In my free time, I’m a huge trivia buff and I love playing board games whenever I get the chance.

Hi! My name is Stephanie and I’m one of the leads for the Small Wonders room. I’ve worked with children of all ages since 2009, but the littles have my heart! I love watching them grow and change everyday. I have been with ISW since early 2023 and I have enjoyed every minute. I have my infant toddler certificate in infant & toddlers from College of DuPage.
